  • Neuromodulator Pre-Treatment Instructions

To ensure your safety and achieve the best possible results, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

    1. 7–10 Days Before Treatment

Avoid aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor) and other NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®, as well as Fish Oil, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E.

These may increase your risk of bleeding or bruising at the injection site.

Optional: Start eating pineapple or taking bromelain supplements daily to help minimize post-treatment bruising and swelling.

    2. 24 Hours Before Treatment

Avoid alcoholic beverages, as alcohol increases your risk of bruising and swelling.

Avoid sun exposure to prevent sunburn in the treatment area.

    3. Day of Treatment

Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal creams** on or near the area being treated.

If desired, take Tylenol® (acetaminophen) about 1 hour before your appointment to reduce potential discomfort (if not contraindicated).

Eat a small meal or snack prior to your appointment to help maintain stable blood sugar and minimize lightheadedness.

Inform your injector of your full medical history and all medications or supplements you’re currently taking.

If you have a history of cold sores (Herpes Simplex) on your face, please notify your injector before treatment, as a preventive antiviral medication may be recommended.

⚠️ Precautions — You May Not Be a Candidate If You Have:

    Myasthenia Gravis

    Neuromuscular disorders

    Allergy to Botulinum Toxin

    Allergy to human albumin

    Pregnancy or are currently breastfeeding

  • Neuromodulator Aftercare Instructions

Thank you for choosing us for your treatment. Please follow these aftercare guidelines to ensure optimal results and minimize side effects:

    Things to Avoid
Facials, saunas, and facial massages for 1–2 weeks after treatment to prevent Botox migration.

Swimming (especially in the ocean) and makeup application for 24 hours to reduce infection risk.

Touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours.

Exercise and sweating for 24 hours after your treatment.

    What to Expect

⏱ Results typically begin to appear in 4–5 days and can take up to 14 days to fully develop.

Please wait the full two weeks before assessing your final results.

Mild swelling or bruising may occur and is temporary.

This usually peaks around 2–3 days and resolves within 1–2 weeks.

    Tips for Comfort

Eating pineapple or taking bromelain supplements, and applying topical arnica gel or witch hazel, may help reduce bruising and swelling.

Avoid Ibuprofen, Advil, or Motrin (as they may increase bruising).

    Tylenol is safe for discomfort.

    Understanding Your Treatment

Neuromodulators (Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Dysport, Letybo) are temporary treatments.

For first-time clients, we start conservatively with fewer units to gauge your response.

If your results fade in less than 3–4 months or you notice more movement than desired, your next treatment may require a higher dose for optimal longevity and results.

    Follow-Up

We recommend a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks, especially after your first treatment.

This allows us to assess how your muscles have responded and make any necessary adjustments.

Additional charges apply for touch-ups of 5 units or more.

    Ongoing Care

Apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin and enhance the longevity of your results.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns — your satisfaction and safety are our priority!

Dermal Fillers Treatment Care

  • Before Your Dermal Filler Procedure

To ensure your safety, comfort, and the best possible outcome, please review and follow these guidelines prior to your appointment.

    Preparation Tips

You may take Tylenol® (acetaminophen) one hour before your appointment to help prevent any discomfort (if not contraindicated).

Begin taking arnica and/or bromelain supplements (found in pineapples) a few days before your treatment to help minimize post-injection swelling and bruising.

If you are taking blood thinners** such as Aspirin, Coumadin, Eliquis, Xarelto, Pradaxa, or Plavix, please inform us — do not stop taking your prescribed medication unless directed by your physician.

Avoid aspirin, NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®), Fish Oil, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E for 7–10 days prior to your appointment, unless medically necessary.

These can increase your risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site.

    Before Your Appointment

If you have a history of cold sores (Herpes Simplex), please notify us one week before your appointment so we can prescribe medication to prevent an outbreak that may affect your lip filler results.

Avoid dental procedures (including cleanings) for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your filler treatment to reduce infection risk.

Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face on the day of your appointment.

Eat a small meal or snack beforehand to prevent lightheadedness or nausea.

    Additional Recommendations

Bruising and swellingare most noticeable within the first 24–48 hours after your dermal filler injections.

Consider scheduling your treatment at least a few days before any special events.

Refrain from exercise or strenuous activity for the remainder of the day following your injections.

Avoid travel plans outside of the state for 5 days after treatment, so we can promptly address any symptoms or concerns if they arise.

  • Dermal Filler Aftercare Instructions

Thank you for trusting us with your aesthetic care. Please follow these aftercare guidelines carefully to ensure optimal results and minimize complications.

    Comfort & Healing

You may take Tylenol® (acetaminophen) every 4–6 hours after treatment to ease discomfort (unless otherwise directed by your clinician).

Swelling is normal and will subside naturally over time

Arnica or bromelain supplements (found naturally in pineapple) may help reduce bruising and swelling.

Sleep on your back to prevent pressure on treated areas.

    Activity & Lifestyle

Avoid travel outside the state for 5 days after treatment so we can address any post-procedure concerns if needed.

Avoid makeup application and swimming in the ocean for 24 hours to prevent infection.

Limit sun and heat exposure, including UV lamps, saunas, and hot yoga, for 24 hours after treatment.

Alcohol can also temporarily increase redness and swelling.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce the risk of increased blood flow or product migration.

Avoid dental procedures (including cleanings) for 2 weeks following filler treatment.

    Medication Precautions

    For 5 days post-treatment, avoid:

    Aspirin (unless medically necessary)

    NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®

Fish oil, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E

These can increase your risk of bleeding or bruising at injection sites.

    Area-Specific Notes

Lip Filler: Avoid drinking from a straw, smoking, vaping, or kissing rigorously for several days to prevent altering the filler’s placement.

Chin Filler: Mild tenderness when the area is bumped is normal and may persist for 1–2 months.

    Normal Reactions

Common side effects include redness, swelling, lumps, bruising, or tenderness.

These typically resolve within a few days to 2 weeks.

Contact us immediately if you experience:

    Persistent pain unrelieved by Tylenol®

Increasing bruising or bruising that spreads to unrelated areas (e.g., treated lips but bruising on chin)

    Follow-Up & Ongoing Care

We recommend a follow-up visit in 2 weeks to ensure your results are healing beautifully and symmetrically.

Always apply broad-spectrum mineral such sunscreen as EltaMD daily to protect your skin and prolong your results.

Your satisfaction and safety are our priority — please contact us immediately with any concerns.

Fat Dissolver
 Treatment Care

  • • Foods and Medications to Avoid. Two weeks before your appointment try to avoid nuts, seeds, fish, fish oil, NSAIDs, supplements, and anything that prolongs bleeding. This will significantly help minimize bruising, bleeding and swelling.
      • Arnica Supplements.  You can start Arnica supplements a week prior to injection to help with post injection bruises. Arnica helps to speed up the fading away of bruises.
      • Medications and Supplements.  Talk to your primary healthcare provider if you are on blood thinners you may need to stop these a few days to weeks prior to your treatment. Speak to your prescribing physician regarding safety of stopping and restarting these medications. We do not recommend patients that are on life saving medications stop their medications in order to have any cosmetic procedures performed.

  • • Eat and drink before your treatment.  It is not uncommon for patients to “pass-out” or get lightheaded during their injection.  Having a good blood sugar and being hydrated will make it less likely that you will feel queasy during your treatment.

    • Men with beards should shave area under the chin.  Men who have a beard should shave the part of their beard under their chin. A beard will interfere with the doctor’s ability to make markings on the skin for the injection sites, potentially displace the trajectory of the injection needle and distort the true appearance of the jaw line.

    • Come with a clean face and minimize make up and lotion the area that will be treated.

    • Reserve your next appointment.  Fat dissolver injections are typically repeated in 4-6 weeks following the initial session.

    • After your fat dissolver injection.

The first few days after your treatment the treated area will be very swollen; it will take weeks for results to become noticeable. We recommend not evaluating results until completing your course of treatment.

It is normal to have swelling, pinpoint bleeding and bruising underneath the chin. Due to the numbing cream applied for your procedure you will still feel numb for another 1-2 hours after your procedure. Please be sure to follow our post procedure instructions in order to minimize swelling, bruising and decrease downtime. The initial results from the fat dissolver can been seen in just one to two sessions. Although more than one treatment is required for optimal benefits, once the full series has been completed, no further maintenance is needed. The fatty tissue, once eliminated, will not return. This means that the results from the fat dissolver treatment are permanent.

       • Ice Area.  Use a small bag of frozen peas in a sandwich bag or crushed ice to gently ice the area. No heavy ice bags. Ice for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Continue the icing for 48 hours if possible.

       • Minimize Strenuous Exercise: We recommend no strenuous exercise for 48 hours in order to reduce swelling and bruising. • Do not manipulate or massage or rub or poke the area.  Do not massage or manipulate the treated area which will be quite swollen after the fat dissolver injections. You may shower and wash your face with gentle cleanser. Avoid facials, chemical peels or laser treatments on the treated area for 14 days.

      • Make up including concealer can be used to cover up any bruises 24 hours after injections.

      • Take Arnica supplements.  Arnica supplements can quickly help reduce appearance of bruises.

       • Sleep with head propped up on 2-3 pillows.  For the first 2-3 days sleeping with your head propped up on 2-3 pillows can help minimize swelling under the chin area. Swelling should begin to improve after about 48 hours to 1-2 weeks.

      • Pineapples help to minimize swelling and brusing after injections.  Pineapples have natural anti-inflammatory properties to help with healing.

      • Take Tylenol for Pain: It is normal to experience some pain and sensitivity in the area of the injections. Most patients find that Tylenol can help relieve this post-injection pain. Avoid NSAIDs such as Motrin and ibuprofen as these can make swelling and bruising worse.

    • In the first 24 hours following treatment, limit exposure to sunlight or UV lamps. Extensive sun or heat exposure and alcoholic beverages may cause a temporary increase in redness, bruising or swelling at the injection sites.

    • Avoid touching, massaging or manipulating the treated areas. The treated areas can be washed with a gentle and unscented cleanser.

    • Your satisfaction is important to us! We would like you to return to the salon in 2 weeks for a follow up for the best result.

    • Remember to wear sunscreen daily.

  • • Bruising.  Bruises may last 1-2 weeks. Bruises can show up several days after the treatment.

     • Swelling, Inflammation and Redness.  Swelling will be the worst the first two days and is mostly due to localized inflammation. Initial swelling can take up to 2 weeks to settle. Sleeping propped up and icing can minimize this side effect. Avoid exercise first 48 hours or longer as swelling increases when working out.

     • Asymmetry.  Asymmetry initially is mostly secondary to swelling and any bruises that have formed under the skin. After a few weeks swelling will start to diminish and the fat melting results will begin to be noticed.

     • Localized “Hardening” Under the Skin.  As the fat starts to melt it can form hardened nodules. Your healthcare provider will advise you when to start massaging the nodules to facilitate them dissolving quicker
